No way they let him pull out. Probably another Obama 'reduction' in a decade or so.

Trump intends to do this, it was completely bypassed by all the media during the election. I'm glad he's still on it.
How would you feel about Trump if he actually pulled it off ?

The same way I’d feel about him if he handed me a million dollars. I’d be grateful, but very suspicious.C-Mag wrote:I know the odds are against me, and I will be in the minority, but I believe it can happen.GrumpyCatFace wrote:One does not build the most expensive military in the world, and simply 'bring it home'.C-Mag wrote:

This dude is wrapped all around the MIC and the IC. I just don’t see him “dropping” the Middle East, unless it’s to start shit with China/Russia.

Well that’s not in my ancestry account yet.Penner wrote:According to the article that I posted it hasn't appeared on the Census since 1950:nmoore63 wrote:Citizenship question is on all the census cards I checked on my Ancestry account.
(1940)
And they do keep track of non-citizens in another US Census form:The plan would mark the first time such a question would be included on the short-form census since 1950
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white- ... us-n862406According to the latest data from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey, which is conducted yearly and does include a citizenship question, there were 22.5 million noncitizens in the United States in 2016. That’s about 7 percent of the total 323 million U.S. residents.
(Have they released 1950 census? I don’t think till 2020.
Regardless, citizenship status is more relevant to the purpose of the census than a host of other things they ask.

LA Times says 1950 was when they stopped.
Here's the 1940, lines 15 and 16 are for citizenship.

I found 1960, but have not found the 1950 yet

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
GOT IT !
In 1950 Citizenship was asked, but not 1960.............. lots of political fuckery going on.
Turns out we ask about Citizenship in Government Community Surveys every year.
https://www.census.gov/acs/www/about/wh ... tizenship/
So it's not the question, or the data that's the problem, it's about what form the data is on. I expect if it's collected on the Census, funds and representation are appropriated when the data is collected in the census.

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
They always used to ask for Citizenship but usually did so in the long form. The long form went out to every six households.
https://www.census.gov/dmd/www/pdf/d3239a.pdf
They since then changed the long form into the "American Community Survey"
https://www.census.gov/history/www/prog ... urvey.html
https://www2.census.gov/programs-survey ... uest18.pdf
Moving he citizen question from the ACS to the short form shouldn't be a big deal.
I find it fascinating just how obsessed with race your society seems to be.
This info from 2000Why Do We Need the Long Form?
The long form provides socio-economic detail needed for a wide range of government programs and federal requirements. Nationwide, it goes out to one in six housing units. But to assure the same level of accuracy everywhere, a larger share of housing units in small towns and rural counties receive this form. Community leaders use the long form for planning a wide range of activities, including neighborhood revitalization, economic development and improved facilities and services. To build highways, roads, bridges and tunnels in areas that need them, planners need information about where people live and work and the times they leave for work.

They since then changed the long form into the "American Community Survey"
https://www.census.gov/history/www/prog ... urvey.html
This is from the 2018 ACSThe nationwide American Community Survey (ACS) is a critical element of the Census Bureau's reengineered decennial census program. During previous decennial censuses, most households received a short-form questionnaire, while one household in six received a long form that contained additional questions and provided more detailed socioeconomic information about the population.
The 2010 Census will be a short-form only census and will count all residents living in the United States as well as ask for name, sex, age, date of birth, race, ethnicity, relationship and housing tenure - taking just minutes to complete.
The more detailed socioeconomic information once collected via the long-form questionnaire is now collected by the American Community Survey. The survey provides current data about all communities every year, rather than once every 10 years. It is sent to a small percentage of the population on a rotating basis throughout the decade. No household will receive the survey more often than once every five years.
In 2008, the Census Bureau released its first multiyear estimates based on ACS data collected from 2005 through 2007. These 3-year estimates of demographic, social, economic and housing characteristics will be available for geographic areas with a population of 20,000 or more, including the nation, all states and the District of Columbia, all congressional districts, approximately 1,800 counties, and 900 metropolitan and micropolitan statistical areas, among others. For areas with a population less than 20,000, 5-year estimates will be available. The first 5-year estimates, based on ACS data collected from 2005 through 2009, will be released in 2010.

Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
The census issue is not about race. It's about money and political power.
132 programs used Census Bureau data to distribute more than $675 billion in funds during fiscal year 2015.
https://www.census.gov/library/working- ... funds.html
States that have sold out to illegals will lose billions.
Likewise they will lose votes in the Electoral College and seats in Congress.
