US GDP approx $19 trillion
US National Debt $21. 4 trillion

The US government has over-spent by an amount greater than the nation produces in a year - but the problem is we aren’t taxed enough.

Martin’s a taxer.
Too bad taxing ALL of our productivity at a 100% tax rate still wouldn’t cover his government’s spending.

If only the rich paid their “fair share”.
Hahahahahahh
Whoo!
Remind me again. How do you pay off debt while making less money than you owe?

I had a $120k mortgage in 1991, while making (back then when I took out the loan) $43k/yr, so I was in debt roughly 300% of my yearly "GDP". How on earth did I pay off that mortgage in 13 years (on a 30yr mortgage) while making "less than I owed" on a yearly basis? (While, btw, putting 12% pre-tax into my 401k)

Hmm, perhaps I spent less than I made and didn't keep racking up more debt, but rather paid extra on my payments whenever I could to knock down the principal faster.

Our problem isn't the debt by itself, it's that we keep living beyond our means and borrowing more just to pay the interest on the debt we already have - and running up even more debt/interest in the process. (Mindless that $21trillion is a false number since it doesn't count the SS/Medicare "trust funds" which are way more debt).

-Ford never mentioned sexual assault

You need only look at the beginning of this very thread.
So now stating the facts about what is, is offering an opionion?

I admitted that I didn't know much about him, that's offering an opinion?

I don't review talking points memos to tell me what to think. The day he got nominated, 60~ish % of the country knew exactly what kind of man he is. (by knew, I mean they made their decision purely on their opinion of Trump, without any facts whatsoever or even knowledge that this man existed.

I've never said a word against Gorsuch, but I did read about him and watched. I think he was a great choice, in hindsight.

Face it, there are, percentage wise, almost no people qualified to have a credible opinion on who does/doesn't make a good judge. I read articles from lawyers & judges. I tend to trust Napolitano, though he did flip flop on Kavanaugh.

So, go find me a post where I said something negative about Gorsuch or actively stated he shouldn't be appointed. Otherwise, you have nothing but my asking questions and discussing process.
You supported the filibuster, you know you did. Stop lying. Your bluff was called and you got caught your pitiful little "what? me! I know nothing." routine is tired and should be beneath you. You really trying for that useful idiot role.

BUT, thanks to Trump winning, the possibility of a Rand Paul type candidate winning a Presidential election are suddenly very real.
The Libertarians are hated in this country. It's not hard to see why. At their 2016 convention, they had some guy dancing around naked on stage. Freedom of speech is good, but unless you are Trump, you need to appear serious and thoughtful. (Not thoughtful polite, but reflective.)

I will vote Libertarian wherever possible. I refuse to support the corrupt system we have. I get that it's pointless, but so is voting. We end up with corrupt or corrupt. I don't care which version. I do like that we go back and forth, however. It keeps us from going too far backwards and way too far forward. I believe this is why the middle decide elections. We all hate both, so they let the teams take turns.
2018 Kath is a whole different Kath from 2017 Kath. 2017 Kath had TDS took a break got some perspective, saw the left go crazy on FB. I say this because 2017 Kath was lamenting this seesaw now she is embracing it.
