I've been on the DOJ like a pit bull on a poodle, so now, something they did right.

West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Faces 400 years in the pokey
http://wvmetronews.com/2018/06/20/u-s-a ... rt-issues/Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry was indicted on 22 counts, U.S. Attorney Mike Stuart announced this morning. Stuart said that if Loughry were convicted on each of the counts, the sentence would amount to almost 400 years.
Loughry was picked up by federal officials at 7:30 a.m. today at his home. He had a short arraignment hearing at the federal courthouse and was released $10,000 bond.
He was charged by a federal grand jury. The 22-count indictment was unsealed today. The charges include fraud, false statement and witness tampering offenses.

EPA chief Scott Pruitt resigns amid scandals, citing 'unrelenting attacks'
https://www.cnn.com/2018/07/05/politics ... index.html
Pruitt's resignation follows months during which the EPA administrator has been embroiled in one ethics controversy after the next.
It also comes two days after an exclusive CNN investigation revealed a former top aide alleged Pruitt and his staffers held regular meetings to "scrub," alter or remove controversial events from his calendar.

That's not swamp draining. That's witch hunting.

Re: Draining the Swamp
Sounds like Pruitt liked to use subordinates for odd jobs. It's wrong, it happens all the time. I'm fine with him going................. BUT
He was wrecking the EPA overreaching tyranny and lots of folks hated him for it............. including big oil.
Trump just needs to get someone in there that will continue the work Pruitt started.
The Left's next big target will be Ryan Zinke.

Re: Draining the Swamp
sounds swampy to me
either way this thread is to document officials leaving the administration, I didn't see this resignation mentioned anywhere else on the forumThis spring, Gowdy said Pruitt was not forthcoming with records.
There are also multiple inquiries into Pruitt's lease of a $50-a-night Capitol Hill condo in 2017 from lobbyist Vicki Hart. Hart's husband, J. Steven Hart, who is also a lobbyist, met with Pruitt at the same time that he was leasing that room.
A review of EPA emails showed deeper ties between Pruitt and lobbyists, including that a family friend of those lobbyists was considered for a position at EPA.
Several reviews have to do with Pruitt's use of email. Senate Environment and Public Works Chairman John Barrasso, a Wyoming Republican, began looking into reports that Pruitt had four EPA email addresses, at least one of which was not disclosed.

Re: Draining the Swamp
This headhunt for Pruitt has been going on for months.
They started by openly attacking him for deweaponizing the EPA, but they stopped as soon as they realized that had public support.
Then they switched to scandal.
It was all very transparent.

It's a good lesson for Trump. There is a double standard, while the Swamp creatures do the same shit Pruitt did all the time, it's not allowed if you are De-Weaponizing (+1 perfect term Okee) the EPA.
