Note;

Ford Focus and Ford Focus Rallye Sport; two very different animals.

Subaru Impreza and Subaru Impreza World Rally eXperimental-Subaru Tecnica international; also two very different animals.

So reeeaaally it's only the names that are similar? Let's just modify and switch-out everything but the windows and half the model's nameplate?

Seems like cheating to me. :?

Been a while since I had cause to pull that one out, eh?
Great picture--can't recall having seen it before.

Always a shame to see someone lose their temper. Everyone has their breaking point and it sounds as though Jacobs was being obnoxious. Gianforte claims there was offensive touching before he acted and it sounds like there were several witnesses, so I suppose we'll just have to see whether there's any truth to that. If there wasn't, well the law is the law and he'll either have to admit guilt and make restitution, or roll the dice with a little trial.

Here's the danger of throwing in with Gianforte:

It's really easy to adopt an enemy-of-my-enemy mentality if you're a conservative watching a member of the hostile media get body-slammed. There's a certain catharsis to it, right? Like "Finally, those lying dipweasels GOT WHAT'S COMING!"

BUT . . .

Remember that you and Gianforte aren't team members. You aren't peers. You guys may despise the same folk, but to Gianforte you're not really any different than the media. Whether he's body-slamming a member of the press, or whether he's body slamming you, to him it's all about asserting dominance through physical intimidation. If he doesn't like your approach and he thinks he can get away with it, he'll try to mess you up.

That's not leadership.
That's thuggery.

Pursuant to your query; "what makes it so appealing"? Answer; RS and WRX; street legal rally cars.

Compact and light, with 300+ hp, 300+ lb-ft, 6-speed dual clutch turbo AWD, factory tuned for racing.

Can be used as daily driver, but track ready none the less, on road or off, all season, and even if/when not racing, always fun to drive.

That's what makes him so perfect. That Protestant fundamentalist stuff rattles their cage like nothing else.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Also, let two enemies battle each other till they are both spent, that is when you strike. I will cheer Gianforte on, but I won't get involved till I have to take the winner's legs out from under them.

Also, body-slamming Guardian reporters is okay.
