Why do you plan on buying coastal property if climate change is going to cause a great flood that will destroy wall street? This makes not much sense. Me thinks you are trolling now and using Jon Stewart defense and deflection 101 with "We just do comedy".GrumpyCatFace wrote: Never called for a WaterWorld scenario - I'll probably just Have some coastal property here in Ohio eventually. Which would be nice, except for the end of the financial system and all. Not that I'll be around for it - I'll probably die of some mundane infection, once the pharmacies are all looted.
It could be nice for my grandkids, though, after the Great Culling is done, and they have the skills to produce.

To be fair, if you believe the world's economic order is going to collapse, buying a large tract of productive land in a defensible location should be priority numero uno for you.

One of the most infuriating arguments that Climate Changers use is that unless you are a "climate scientist," you cannot understand climate change so your opinion doesn't count, whether you're a Nobel laureate in Physics or not. But this guy is the State "climate scientist," and he's a "denier."

Not buying, just making a quip that the coastline will move. My property is about 30' above lake level, so I'm not worried about that.tue4t wrote:Why do you plan on buying coastal property if climate change is going to cause a great flood that will destroy wall street? If chaos ensues I plan to just find someone else with a large tract of productive and defensible land and take it.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Yep, that is the plan.Speaker to Animals wrote:tue4t wrote: Why do you plan on buying coastal property if climate change is going to cause a great flood that will destroy wall street? It was nice of that person to gather a bunch of supplies in one place so I don't need to look too hard.

Hopefully they will shoot you and bury you in the woods by the creek.
You jest, but there are people out there who actually plan like this. I hate their guts.

That's pretty low. But you can always count on humans to fill the range of psychotic behavior in a crisis.Speaker to Animals wrote:Viktorthepirate wrote:If chaos ensues I plan to just find someone else with a large tract of productive and defensible land and take it.GrumpyCatFace wrote:

A burial in such a case would be quite a Christian gesture.
I'm not sure I'll have that kind of time to spare.

Low or not, I'll do what I have to do to protect my people.
We can be civilized when our food and water is taken care of.
Best make that part of your preparation plans too. I don't have a wife and child, but I imagine if I did I could get pretty brutal to ensure their survival. Not to mention I know what I'm doing, and so will a good chunk of any aggressive post apocalypse tribes.
Or, you can always surrender to the Ohio River Valley Chieftain. Obviously I prefer a peaceful annexation.
I'll bring government and order
