Re: Russia! Russia!! Russia!!!
Compared to the alternatives, they are more classically liberal, the press in Russia, is more free and western, than its ever been, it wouldn't be more free and western, under the Communists nor the Russo-Nazis, Putin is as good as it gets in Russia, as far as individual freedom, freedom of religeon, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, and freedom of markets goes, compared to the Soviets and the Nazis, who are the contenders for power, he's George bloody Washington, bearing in mind, that George bloody Washington and Co, were slave holding land pirates after all.
Putin extends far more freedom to the Russians, than classically liberal Thomas Jefferson extended to his slaves, Russia is just backwards, Putin is a product of his enviroment, but he's still one of the least backwards Russian leaders you're likely to get, in the end, if you don't fuck with the siloviki in Russia, they won't fuck with you, you're only going to get stomped on, Niggah, if you try to overthrow the master of the house and his overseers.

Putin wouldn't care a fuck if Ramzan Kadyrov was a salafist as long as he is Putin's loyal salafist (which likely Ramzan would be). Putin isn't an ideologue, but a tough realpolitik guy that wants to make Russia Great again, which means to make the Russian government strong, the center the dominant force and Russia a Great Power. The billions he has stolen wasn't stolen because of greed, but simply because wealth is power especially in Russia. The huge palace's he's built for himself is to show the oligarchs just who is the boss. And once you taken so power, once you have looted the public coffers, killed political opponents, yes, you can't simply retire like a US politician playing golf, giving speeches and writing a book or two.BjornP wrote:

Putin has allowed the de facto implementation of Sharia law in Chechnya by Ramzan Kadyrov, including polygamy and veil.
Yeah, we should really follow his example on Islam, shouldn't we?
To think that Putin would go on some ideological crusade is mindblowingly naive and stupid. But it seems that sometimes people think that as they take Russian propaganda without any criticism.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A senior U.S. official says the Obama administration is aware of frequent contacts between President-elect Donald Trump's top national security adviser and Russia's ambassador to the United States.
The official says the contacts happened on the day President Barack Obama expelled dozens of Russian officials from the U.S. and imposed sanctions as punishment for election-related hacking. The official says the administration is also aware of contacts between Trump adviser Michael Flynn and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at other times as well.
The day after Obama announced sanctions, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he would not retaliate. Trump praised him for his restraint.
Flynn's conversations were first reported by Washington Post columnist David Ignatius. The official was not authorized to confirm the contacts publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Harmless?Sean Spicer has now acknowledged that the contact on Dec. 28 b/w Flynn and the Russian Ambassador did, in fact, take place. He claims that Flynn was arranging for a call to take place between Trump and Putin soon after the inauguration.

The Demohacks are saying Flynn violated the Logan Act lulz. They are throwing everything and the kitchen sink at Flynn in an attempt to see what sticks basically, and this won't. Their desperation is palpable.Smitty-48 wrote:What's the charge, officer?pineapplemike wrote:Harmless?

The Logan Act, eh? Ah well, I find it to be unconstitutional, so violate away I say, if they want to make a federal case, fight them all the way to the bitter end.StCapps wrote:The Demohacks are saying Flynn violated the Logan Act lulz. Declare war on Russia, and then lay a charge of treason, or just shut the fuck up.

Guys, is the left seriously going to carry on this farce for the entirety of the next eight years? It's funny now, but a few months from now, it's going to get annoying.

We have had FISA warrants on Flynn for months, we have his phone calls to all the Russians, including their ambassador. Here's one that looks pretty bad, but no one gets prosecuted for the Logan Act. Can you imagine what else we have? Love, IC.

Oh, well, bring it on, IC, lets see the tapes, make your move, and then see what happens, because I'll tell you right now, Flynn knows where all the bodies are buried, if there's someone who could bring the IC down, it's the former DIA director and JSOC intel chief, make no mistake.adwinistrator wrote:No charge, but the message is:Smitty-48 wrote:What's the charge, officer?pineapplemike wrote:Harmless?
