Re: THE ERA OF TRUMP
Well, there's at least one person I've found that I like on a personal level coming into power in the Era of Trump. (Apologies to Dr. Carson, I like him too, personally.)
If you gave Hair God some truth serum, I bet he'd tell you there is one person (other than himself) responsible for getting the message right to combat the Insect Queen down the home stretch.

PuffHo is a joke, but you should definitely consider what Professor Turchin says on these matters. That guy is wicked smart and understands the cycles of civilization better than anyone.

Well the confirmation fun starts this week.
Will Senators Paul, Cruz, Flake, Lee, or any other GOP dead-enders call on Sessions to answer for his stupid Obama/Holder/Lynch positions?
Conservatives Should Think Twice before Supporting Jeff Sessions

SAD!For instance, he sharply departs from the growing bipartisan consensus on criminal-justice reform. . . .
At a time when 32 states have legalized medical and/or recreational use of marijuana, Sessions told a Senate hearing last April that, “we need grown-ups in charge in Washington to say marijuana is not the kind of thing that ought to be legalized, it ought not to be minimized, that it’s in fact a very real danger.” . . .
Moreover, as George Will has pointed out, Sessions also opposes the reform of asset-forfeiture laws. He has defended these laws, which are considered by most observers to be widely abused, as a means of taking money from people who have “done nothing in their lives but sell dope.” . . .
Elsewhere, he has defended the ability of the NSA and other federal agencies to spy on Americans. Last April, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives unanimously passed the Email Privacy Act, designed to require that law-enforcement agencies receive a warrant before they can compel tech firms such as Google and Microsoft to hand over Americans’ stored cell-phone communications. Sessions introduced an amendment to the bill that would have created a loophole allowing law enforcement to demand such data without a warrant. . . .
Finally, he has opposed legislation protecting the jobs of federal whistle-blowers and shield laws protecting journalists from having to disclose their sources.

There was no possible way to elect a small government pro-privacy administration this year. It's not what I want but many people love it and I'd rather have Trump's big American govt than the Clinton/NWO's big govt.
The shooting at Miami International is a super recent reminder how most Americans want to give up their rights for the promise of short term safety.

I don't think they do. Have any polling data on how much more security people want to have?Dand wrote:There was no possible way to elect a small government pro-privacy administration this year. I just like Sessions because he pisses off everyone. The tears are delicious. And if anybody is going to not fuck around with sanctuary cities and defunding them it will be Sessions.

Yeah, I like that these picks are getting their manginas in a twist. That's qualification enough. If the progs like the appointee, then I am against him.
