Negative Hanarchy.
I've been clear. Citizens civil rights are being damaged by local authorities cooperating with Commies that are damaging property and persons.
And you guys continue to zip right past the hundreds of people murdered and beaten in the last 60 days
Au contraire.
I am very alarmed by attacks on people and the destruction of property. Also, I do not have a better solution than federal intervention if municipal authorities are stepping down.
Still, federal intervention is an equally alarming development - unless you are looking forward to the second Civil War. Then it is a badass development.
There will be no second Civil War, if you're thinking about a conventional war. The first one was able to be waged by each side because people still saw their own State as being their Country and were patriots for their own state, and there was a Militia system in place that trained all able bodied men for war. We have neither of those things now.
If a "civil war" happens in America, it will be less like the War Between the States and more like the Rwandan Genocide. Roving packs of marauders with improvised weapons until the Federal Government declares war on the ensuing chaos. We are not close to that point, as everyone still sees the Federal Government has having legitimate authority, if not in mind then at least in action. Anyone who wants a shooting war is having some masturbatory fantasy about conventional warfighting a la 1860.
Also, I'm glad you pinpointed the actual issue of State and Municipal authorities refusing to do their duty. That is the real issue causing the Federal government to act.

This is a seizure of power by the federal government, overriding the authority of the states. Simple as that.
That happened at Appomattox Courthouse, son. That's been settled for nigh 200 years. It's interesting that now that some of the Yankees are feeling the fire behind what Federal Supremacy means in reality, they retreat behind the "State's Rights" banner, as though they can put the Genie back in the bottle.
Suck it up, hoss. The door swings both ways. In the same way that the supporters of BLM and violent anarchists cheer when police officers or wrongthinkers are victimized, I will not bat an eye when they get the hard end of the truncheon. At the end of the day, lofty ideals are only as useful as they are practical. I will not be the principled centrist if it's my family on the chopping block.
