That's the whole reason why US politics is so divisive in the media and during elections. The two parties get along just well, hence they truly have to throw mud on each other all the time that Americans would think there is a choice to make.
There isn't. Vote Democrats or Republicans to power, you will have Goldman Sachs in power always.
Thats just not true. The chuminess that is. It used to be far worse in that regard. They would play golf, play tennis, all the while dicking down the 80, 90, and once in a while 100 member Republican caucus who were only too happy to take it. They had family picnics, softball leagues, and bunch of other stuff. All that is gone. You do that stuff with your own party or you dont do it at all. Sure things were congenial then. But then came the uppity conservatives challenging the order of things. Now, too much money is at stake, too much power.
