This raises the probability that an upcoming spending deadline overlaps with the debt limit, which we estimate will need to be raised at some point between late February and late March. While financial markets mostly ignored the shutdown, a disruptive debt limit debate could have a more negative impact.

I told you yesterday we were going to go through this fight again in a month.............. this time Schumer is embarrassed and backed into a corner by the radicals that are his base........... gonna be a lot of fun.

Trump starting his protectionism............... some will hate it, has a long history in the US and pretty effective too.

George Washington placed Tarriffs early, so did Andy Jackson, Honest Abe, and Teddy.

It's very effective at raising prices, creating a few manufacturing jobs, and inciting trade fraud.
