Not so much. You should read that book title Troublesome Inheritance. Turns out that most Jews are predominantly same as they ever were. They married into a indigenous populations a little, but not as much as you might think. It might be changing in our generations with all the interracial relationships not receiving any social disapproval, though I'd imagine the older Jews are a bit at unease about it.

Hardly. Tell that to the Ethiopians they kick out. Jews happen to be a specific genetic race that is even born out in 23 and Me results. Ashkenazi, Sephardic, etc are fine and dandy in Israel but Africans certainly not. If you converted to Judaism and your kids were not of jewish ancestry they would be widely ostrisicized in the community.

The fact that you can see a clear distribution in things like general IQ, verbal acuity, etc., in their population tells the story as well. You don't really even need to look at the genetics. They are still a distinct group of people (for now).

To claim they are white would be like claiming American blacks are really white people now. It just doesn't add up. It's easier for us to not notice differences because Jews and Caucasians are pretty close, whereas Caucasians and sub-Saharan Africans are far more distant, genetically.

Another way you can see the racial boundary is in medicine. A racial group tends to have their own unique diseases (blacks have sickle cell anemia, Jews have Tay-Sachs disease). Treatments sometimes differ for the same illnesses between races.
