America has always had an aristocracy, deal with it, that's the reality, you never rose above it, at any point in your history, that's a myth.Speaker to Animals wrote:Weird how we didn't have any real aristocracy until after the 1980s, then..
Or how the old economic aristocracy tried to fund a seditious plot to overthrow the government and install a fascist puppet dictator because they couldn't stand what was happening..
Strange that..

I say "confiscatory Inheritance taxes" just to get a rise out of people. I actually advocate limiting inheritance to the deduction (which is over $5 mil !), and allowing the grantor to give anything left in the estate as $1 mil gifts to whoever they choose. No government need be involved.

Ah the old "Outrageous Opening Offer", see you ignored the truth there, why not during the rest of your political campaign when it happens to be beneficial?Martin Hash wrote:I say "confiscatory Inheritance taxes" just to get a rise out of people. The same laws that exist today. Trust funds can’t be used to avoid inheritance taxes.Speaker to Animals wrote:Martin Hash wrote:I say "confiscatory Inheritance taxes" just to get a rise out of people. WTH. What kind of law do you practice? You better not be evading taxes via Trusts.Fife wrote:Yeah, that would suck, if it were real.Speaker to Animals wrote:Martin Hash wrote: The same laws that exist today. Trust funds can’t be used to avoid inheritance taxes.

p.s. The most dishonest of the inheritance tax avoidance schemes, like minority interest devaluations & CRUTs, are closely scrutinized.
