Can I ever

I want to be with the grunts

I am pretty stupid. If they think I would be better off pounding sand that's on them

Out of my hands. Just doing muh jerb

Fun fact.

"Non, je ne regrette rien" meaning "No, I'm not sorry for anything", is a French song composed by Charles Dumont, with lyrics by Michel Vaucaire. It was written in 1956, and is best known through its 1960 recording by Édith Piaf.

Piaf dedicated her recording of the song to the French Foreign Legion. At the time of the recording, France which was engaged in a military conflict, the Algerian War (1954--1962) adopted the song when their resistance was broken. The leadership of the Regiment was arrested and tried but the non-commissioned officers, corporals and Legionnaires were assigned to other Foreign Legion formations.

They left the barracks singing the song, which has now become part of the French Foreign Legion heritage and is sung when they are on parade.

The Pioneer Platoon is a like an Honor Guard in a Legion Regiment

It's hand picked, senior guys, usually on their second five year tour.

Being a combat engineer is a very dangerous job in the Legion.

Main role is to clear mines. Not handyman. Minesweeper.

The Legion is more expendable to the French than French troops, that's one of the main points of it.

So to be a Legion Combat Engineer is doubly expendable. Mercenary Minesweeper.

It sounds crazy but I want to be expendable.

It's not crazy, that's what they like too. Because they want to get into action. They joined to fight.

Bear in mind that you will be protecting innocent people in the process.

A lot of times, especially in Africa, the Legion is the only authority on the ground.

The locals could be facing jihadists, or maybe it's criminal gangs.

So people are often happy to see the Legion, the only protection they have.

Most guys join the Legion because they want to be operational.

They want to get into a battle somewhere. Some contact. A gunfight.

They don't care why, they don't care against whom, they just want to get into some action.

Because the Legion is more politically expendable than French troops, France will put the Legion in places other armies fear to go.

That's why guys go to the Legion after serving in other militaries. Not enough action at home; join the Legion.

Not letting oneslef go is what isncrusvisl today

In this age we must on a straightforward manner

Let is clearly say WE CANNOT ACT OTHERWISR THIS IS OUT LIFE

Uprightness implies adequate knowledge

Young people however are a bleeding ground of infection

Most prominent among them is Darwinism, Marxism and Socialism

Against Marxism and Socialism let us always affirm that economics are subordinate to the fundamental.human being

Against Pyschoanalysis let us stand against the darkest nature of things that are dark let us he part of a what we at once admit to b q fragmented and stand as such men

A path that will be found among such men that stood their ground and fought

What may be done, will be done

Those that are capable of subordinating "mere living" to what is beyond living

If we hope for a future it will be among such men

Without confusiong the incedental with the accidental

What may be done. Will b done
