Not reading through all of this trolling, but.

Just discovered the Olympic channel on my cable (Spectrum, so I don't know if you have it as well). It is SO much better than NBC's crap. No commercials, they cover athletes from everywhere, not just USA cheerleading. I've already learned more in a few hours about some of the events than I ever picked up in years watching NBC.

Also: NO COMMERCIALS.

We just have the NBC multi view - so we can PIP 4 channels at once and flip over to full screen anytime. Works well.

Can't find that, but maybe it's available later in the day? There's only 1 NBC channel showing anything right now...

The Toronto model is not discredited, but the Toronto model relies too heavily on the Hockey Gods, Auston Matthews divine intervention is the exception not the rule, Buffalo, Edmonton, Arizona, Florida, the league is littered with permanently rebuilding teams, the Boston model is the way to go, and if Toews wasn't on a $10.5 million contract, you'd keep him, but that contract has to be cut in half, and moving him to a place where a) he is a good fit, and b) he'd be willing to go, is the only viable option, and that list is a pretty short list, with the Leafs at the very top.

Yeah if the hockey gods love you, the Pittsburgh-Toronto model is the way to go, but if you're a team that used to be great and won a cup or two, but the window to stay a contender starts to close on you, like the Kings or Blackhawks, then go with Boston-model, because the hockey gods aren't about to drop Auston Matthews in your lap any time soon.

Even if they do drop a superstar on your lap, that's still not enough, you need multiple first rounders for multiple years to jumpstart it, like, if Rasmus Dahlin goes to Arizona, Arizona is still going to suck, but if the Hawks got Rasmus Dahlin plus hit on a couple more first rounders, with Kane, Keith and Crawford, they'd be back in business in relatively short order, which means; move Toews and half the contract for as many first rounders as you can get.

Should point out that the biggest single factor in the Leafs quick turn around is not even Matthews, Marner nor Nylander, it's the Phill Kessel trade, the first round pick from Pittsburgh which went to Anaheim for Freddie Andersen, betcha Anaheim is kicking themselves now, they traded the wrong goalie.
