If you starve on your own merit in a free market... well at least some socialist monster didn't try to subsidize you.

Also, you folks should try reading the whole post. I don't think command economies are a good idea and said as much. I don't think wealth destruction is limited to them though.
When was the last time anyone in a free market system saw mass starvation that wasn't the result of a war?
What was the last free market system that existed without any state subsidized social safety net? I would bet that is a good place to start looking.
Putting aside the fact that you didn't answer the questions, but instead moved the goal posts, do you think Venezuela hasn't put any government funds into food production?

But besides that, answer the question. You said,

So where are these examples of people starving in free market economies?

Nope. I said,

That doesn't mean there is never a bad economic period. I'm asking when has a bad economic period in a market system produced mass starvation.

We agree that people shouldn't be left to starve on their own then, and that subsidizing the population with food, like we did during the great depression and ever since, didn't lead to the collapse of the state.
HAIL!

Her needs America so they won't just take his shit away like in some pussy non gun totting countries can happen.

The free market didn't keep millions from staving to death.. That was socialized aid coupled with charity and community cohesion. The men in that photo didn't buy that bread and soup with their own money. It was likely either a government program or a church function.

The free market failed, and without those other factors, it would have been awful.

I wasn't saying they paid for it. Maybe I haven't been clear.

In both market and communist societies, things can go wrong. HM implied that when times get hard in a market economy, people starve to death with the comfort that there aren't any handouts. I was countering that bullshit.
