Well, Trump can't go to jail, even if they get him on obstruction of justice, he's still the king, er I mean President, so the worst that happens is he goes back to Trump world a martyr for the Red Team lemmings. But Bannon is finished with the Republicans, so the Democrats are his only option, he needs to do a full flip and turn states evidence, and then he won't be as rich, but he will be a permanently ensconced liberal media pundit for all time.

In America, it's just as if not more important to be famous as it is to be rich, John Dean is a multimillionaire by net worth, but that's not GOP money, he's been kicking around being a liberal media pundit, even decades later, that's how he's made his living, you just have to stay in the game somehow, doesn't matter which side of the fence you play on, so long as you are in the media game, writing books, being a pundit, etcetera.

But Bannon is not famous enough to ride that yet, to become famous enough to stay in the game long term, without being a GOP crony, he needs to flips states evidence and testify against the Don, he needs to go nuclear option to become a John Dean.

In America, if you're not a famous multimillionaire, you're nobody, but famous is the key, look at Marty Hash, he's rich, but not famous, so he's not in the game, once you're in the game, you gots to find someway to stay in the game, one way or the other.
