Have I ever said anything about Bannon? I don't recall ever doing so. You must be projecting because you love the narrative the book has pitched you. In before "muh alt-right." Clearly the media has you believing Bannon was ever alt-right.

Now that I think of it I do recall posting about how Bannon played WoW for Goldman Sacchs.

And anyway, Trump has done very well on immigration so far. I don't feel like I have lost any wager at all yet. Granted, it's only a step in the right direction but so far I'm looking at a good trajectory. Not even black pilled. Oh that must be it. I'm supposed to be black pilled about Bannon. Well no. Not at all. And the idea of him contesting incumbents was good and all those things are in motion already so we will see how it pans out.

Meh, I don't love the narrative of crazy Trump, I don't think Trump is crazy, and I'm certainly not opposed to him jettisoning the Alt Right and just getting back to being run o' the mill GOP, that's fine by me, and a smart move, Trump doesn't need the Alt Right populism anymore, he has control of the party now, so he can just go back to being the Reaganite Neoconservative he always was.

So if you're happy, I'm happy, I was simply under the impression, based on two years of you autistic screeching about it, that you had a more expansive idea of what Trump was going to do, than simply cutting a deal with Democrats on DACA in order to get an installment of funding for a concrete wall.

I don't actually have any complaints about Trump, he got the tax cuts done, he got rid of that net leftality bullshit, he's pumping up the equity market, he's been strong on NATO, he's been strong on PACOM, he's a Nat-Sec hawk, Trump is pretty much the Gipper 2.0 right now.

Look in the mirror. Just because he's not a politician doesn't mean the establishment is going to hate him once he runs, "because he can't be controlled", non-politicians are easier to control because they don't have as lengthy a track record of dug in policy positions, that isn't why they hated Trump.

The Rock isn't going to be Reagan. He's going to be Obama 2.0, on steroids. You wish the establishment would hate The Rock, because you want a wave of anti-establishment presidents to be the new norm, but that is wishful thinking. Obama was inexperienced as fuck, the media and establishment loved him, you over-estimate the establishments love of experienced politicians over political neophytes just because they hate Trump. If the establishment actually did love experience as much as you seem to think, then they would have supported McCain over Obama in 2008, yet they didn't.

Like, if there is a "narrative" to the book for me, it's not so much that Trump is crazy, the overriding impression is that he had surrounded himself with a bunch of amateurs, wingnuts and ratfucks, and that he'd be well advised to just come home to the GOP Establishment and get some professionals to run shit for him, which he has been doing for awhile now.

Seems like Bannon is showing his neck, which, obviously he can't fight city hall, but I don't buy that he wasn't trashing Don jr, oh he was, and frankly, it was Don jr and his lawyer who were meeting with the Russians, it wasn't really Manafort making that happen, the Russians didn't need Manafort as a go between, they already had contacts with the Trump Org, Trump has been trying to get a Trump Tower built in Moscow for years now.

It's nonsense to say that the Trump Org needs Manafort to tell them about the Russians, Trump has been dealing the Russians back to the 80', when they were the Soviets, Trump knows his way around Russia, he doesn't need Manafort.

If anything, Trump is the expert on navigating the Russian sphere, not Manafort.

Not just backpedalling, but trying to revise, because as I said, I don't think Wolff is lying or making this stuff up, I think the people in the White House said the things he reports that they said, and Bannon was trashing everybody, the Trump family most of all.

Bannon is getting outplayed by Trump on this one, and you think Trump played it poorly, so that just goes to show you're bias against Trump prevents you from seeing straight.
