The Bedouin I met in the Sinai said they were treated better during the Israeli occupation. They said they were allowed to get on with their business without interference whereas the Egyptians under Nasser were all up in their grill.
Careful or they will revoke your Woke card and you will lose your juggling pension.
Just reporting what I was told.
The Bedouin had much better weed than the Egyptians too at a much more competitive price.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Lots of listener questions coming in.

Courtney from North Bay wants to know “Why two Katanas?”

Samurai was actually a Chinese word meaning Vassal

a Japanese soldier was called Bushi

Samurai were an elite class of Bushi who served as the praetorian guard for the lord

they served two main roles, they were his bodyguard, and they were his tax collectors

so the long sword is for their combat role, the short sword was for policing when they were collecting taxes

the long sword was for fighting outdoors, against other troops

the short sword was a sidearm for when you got at close quarters indoors, against civilians

like if you encounter enemy troops, you unsling your battle rifle and engage them with that

but if going from house to house shaking people down, sling your battle rifle and draw your sidearm when inside

it's like a cowboy, he's got two guns, a rifle and a sidearm, he uses them both, in different situations

Damn, I'm jealous; the best I ever get is people showing up at my house wanting to look around. Sometimes they want my autograph but usually they just burn my time and leave. It took a while to get used to.

the Navy has now fully deployed the W76-2 Low Yield tactical warhead in the Trident submarine fleet

starting with SSBN-734 USS Tennessee

"to counter any mistake in perception of an exploitable gap in US regional deterrence capabilities "

an inherent shift from "MAD" countervalue survivable second strike to theater thermonuclear counterforce, in progress . . .

I'm assuming they're doing this because they've started poking the Bear, again?

that's about the size of it, cousin

the poking started with the Bush Administration withdrawing from the 1972 Anti Ballistic Missile Treaty

ABM's are inherently destabilizing & escalatory, inciting an "Arms Race", which has a logic all to itself

the Obama Administration then hawkishly deployed ABM's to Poland & Romania

the Bear responded by once again deploying Intermediate Nuclear Forces at theater level

this led to the collapse of the 1987 Intermediate Nuclear Forces Treaty, under the Trump Administration

the next logical step was for the Trump Administration to then deploy their own INF's

nuclear deterrence is not a monolith, there are levels to this shit

I call this Cold War Two paradigm "Reductive Escalation"

that is escalating towards a nuclear war by coming down from strategic level into the theaters instead

in broad strokes, "Intermediate Nuclear Forces" really just means "For a Nuclear War in Europe"

the Soviet INF's could not strike America, they were targeted at America's NATO allies

strike America's NATO allies, America won't massively retaliate for that,

so it is a viable nuclear war to fight & win

America's nuclear deterrence umbrella was being bypassed,

by simply coming in under it and attacking NATO instead

America then responded by deploying similar tactical nuclear weapons to Europe

Pershing 2 & Nuclear Tomahawk INF mobile land based ballistic & cruise missiles

in addition, America & Britain deployed the W76 100 kiloton warheads on Trident

SLBM's in the theater role on a depressed trajectory, to support the counterforce option

the Soviets to become so paranoid, it incited the Soviet War Scare of 1983, at the brink of World War Three
