There have been times when we were more free, but we were much less prosperous. If you wanna go that route, you can. You won't like it. People don't enjoy freedom without comfort and security. Prosperity makes people a lot happier than freedom.

What difference to me? The nation could be 50% less prosperous, and 50% more equal, and I'd have approximately 500% of my current wealth.

For what it's worth, NPR said this morning that they're doing a special briefing on it for Obama this week, and for Trump next week. There's a public release scheduled for next week as well.
