Not seeing how that makes the plan shitty, that's a minor negative and the positives outweigh the negatives. You are splitting hairs and acting like that shit is a deal breaker.Kath wrote:Tax plan that reduces taxes for everyone? Good.

Your ignorance on this is astounding.Kath wrote:FFS Okee. The major problem is marijuana. If we let our border security team do an actual job instead of wasting time on weed, it would go a long way to adding man hours to care for these other, very serious issues.
Our primary issue is that we focus on the tiny non-problems and ignore the very serious problems that are dragging us down. We are the world's leader at spending tons of money to solve problems that don't exist.
What the fuck do you think is coming across the border? Hostess fatty cakes? The cartels started transitioning from pot to cocaine and heroin years ago. Add to that the crimes they commit along the way, which is why the people who live there want a fucking wall.If we let our border security team do an actual job instead of wasting time on weed
Yeah, the tiny non-problem is the murderous cartel able to move easily across the border and kill Americans while bringing in heroin and cocaine, and the serious problem dragging us down is Raul in the lettuce patch.
You've got your priorities ass backwards.
Border first. Employers second.

I'm pro "do whatever you want to your own body, just leave me alone," wrt just about everything, so meh.
It's been shown that if you take all the money spent on the border, local law enforcement, court systems and prisons and spend that money on education and rehab instead, we come out billions ahead.

Wait, I don’t want to impede the flow of hostess fatty cakes.
Was that hyperbole, or do I need to register Dem for the next election???

Spend more on education and rehab then, or spend the money you do have better, no border security is a dumb plan, regardless of the legal status of certain drugs.Kath wrote:I'm pro "do whatever you want to your own body, just leave me alone," wrt just about everything, so meh.

The drug cartels are multibillion dollar firms, I wouldn't trust the government agents to stop them, they bribe the government agents to smuggle drugs for them, right now, what difference is a wall going to make?
They drive right up to the border checkpoint, the agent waves them through, that's their number one method of smuggling drugs.
They don't risk the load being lost, they make sure they are going to get through, before they even make the move.

Legalize everything. Oregon leads the way, provided they don't burn the state down in gasoline explosions.

Last week, the news was full of headlines commenting on Oregon’s new legislation which, if passed by the state senate, will allow for the defelonization of small amounts of “hard drugs.” Under the new law, first-time offenders caught in possession of meth, heroin, or cocaine will be charged with a misdemeanor instead of a felony. This means they would also be subject to smaller fees and most importantly, less time behind bars.

The utility of The Wall is irrelevant, it's useful as a marketing buzzterm to sell border security and immigration reform in general, via useful mental image that sticks in the brains of the rubes in the electorate.Smitty-48 wrote:The drug cartels are multibillion dollar firms, I wouldn't trust the government agents to stop them, they bribe the government agents to smuggle drugs for them, right now, what difference is a wall going to make?

Oregon is too high to pump gas.
Let's be like Oregon.
