Smitty is tired of being Smitty. He gets no rewards from it anymore. A couple of personal tragedies pulled him back into reality. He is quite content with sitting on porch enjoying reality.

StA (former Dr Strange) is really scared of the Rona and has lost faith. He now welcomes our new globalist overlords.

I think it's hard to maintain a high level of argumentability over time. It corrodes the soul. Most of us want to be happy and content.

I'm starting to pull back as well. Trying to stay away from things that makes me angry. My constant rage over the stupidity of mankind is starting to take a toll in real life.

Social media is a poison that will kill our culture. Just like the printing press killed of feudalism/church/peasantry
and gave us bourgeoisie/academia/capitalism, the internet is deliveringsomething new. We just have to accept it. Now we have to figure out what the next paradigm will look like and try to adjust.

I’ve been trying to figure out why the elites (who made their wealth via capitalism) have been pushing socialism/Big Government. Been doing research and reading lots of articles. I honestly think it’s bc they think they’re saving the Earth and humanity from itself - they want to control everything to reduce “stress on the planet”. I really think they want to lock the world down to crush small business (competition and means for people to stay off government assistance) to force people to want UBI - which will result in a massive shift from a uncontrollable liberty based society to one easily controlled by the top after everyone is forced to rely on government assistance to survive.

It’s insidious - but it seems the most logical. That’s why you have all these oligarchs pushing cultural Marxists bull shit - it will make it easier for them to control the world population so that we all live “sustainably”.

The lockdowns won’t end - the intent is not to stop the virus - the intent is to break the ability of people to earn a living outside of the government and to get people used to a lower standard of living and authoritarianism.

I know I won't like it but neither will the elites. They have no idea what's headed their way. Just like the Ancien Régime at Versailles they are busy complaining about people using the wrong words, having fainting fits and crying for the smelling salts. Their power is waning.
We have decades of strife and power struggle ahead of us. The old elite hasn't fallen yet, and we're still not sure what will replace them.
