Thankfully Sakic's asking price is high and likely won't fall that low just yet. Dreger is too focused on what Columbus wants, and not on what the Avs want methinks, if that's what he has in mind.

There's nobody that Columbus would be willing to part with, that I would want for Duchene, so I would just load up on their picks if Columbus was the only option, but I don't see how you couldn't just trade him for Galchenyuk instead.

Exactly, would rather have Galchenyuk than Johnson, and I don't even want Galchenyuk unless Bergevin throws in something extra, like Juulsen or a pick or something, but even just Galchenyuk is still better than Jack Johnson. Would rather have the picks than Galchenyuk too. I want me a 2018 first rounder included in the deal idealy, seeing as we only have one of those right now.
