The cool thing is that, while they are strict, they're not bureaucratic.

Only the Pioneers can have beards. It's not the same as the Foreign Engineer Regiment tho.

1st Foreign Engineer Regiment is the Combat Engineers.

The Pioneers are in each unit, a Pioneer Platoon. They're like Infantry engineer detachments.

The ceremonial role is that they march at the head of column in the Legion.
