Yeah, the ownership has obviously not come to terms with the fact that this iteration of the Hawks has run its course, it's not a question of tanking, but to retool on the fly they need out from under one of three contracts, Kane, Toews, or Seabrook, Kane they need, he can still score at a $10 million level for a couple more years, Seabrook is immovable, they're stuck with Seabrook, Toews is the one they need to move, and soon, they need to do what Boston did, you keep Kane, Kieth, and Crawford, and then bring in a bunch of young first rounders to transition, but they can't do it with two $10.5 million dollar contracts, plus Seabrook's $7 million on top.StCapps wrote:It makes sense, yet I've heard no rumors of Chicago looking to move him, or Toews wanting out, pretty sure they are still in denial despite how detrimental that attitude is going forward for the franchise, and who knows how quick they are going to be come to their senses. The sooner they snap out this delusional attitude, the better, but their lack of self awareness right now is doing them no favors, could be looking at the Red Wings of the West, sad.Smitty-48 wrote:The sooner Chicago moves him the more they are going to get for him, there's a window right now and into the summer where the Leafs would give them two first rounders, one for Toews, and one to retain the salary, they're not going to be lottery picks, but that's three first round picks in two years which is exactly what Chicago needs right now, if they wait longer, then his value is going to drop precipitously.

Not reading through all of this trolling, but.
Just discovered the Olympic channel on my cable (Spectrum, so I don't know if you have it as well). It is SO much better than NBC's crap. No commercials, they cover athletes from everywhere, not just USA cheerleading. I've already learned more in a few hours about some of the events than I ever picked up in years watching NBC.
Also: NO COMMERCIALS.

The Boston-model, yup, that would suit their situation perfectly, good call. Rebuilding around Kane, Crawford and Keith, that's the way to go, trade whatever else you can. It's too bad the Seabrook's contract is so goddamn awful that they will have to buy him out eventually, because ain't no one taking that contract.Smitty-48 wrote:Yeah, the ownership has obviously not come to terms with the fact that this iteration of the Hawks has run its course, it's not a question of tanking, but to retool on the fly they need out from under one of three contracts, Kane, Toews, or Seabrook, Kane they need, he can still score at a $10 million level for a couple more years, Seabrook is immovable, they're stuck with Seabrook, Toews is the one they need to move, and soon, they need to do what Boston did, you keep Kane, Kieth, and Crawford, and then bring in a bunch of young first rounders to transition, but they can't do it with two $10.5 million dollar contracts, plus Seabrook's $7 million on top.StCapps wrote:It makes sense, yet I've heard no rumors of Chicago looking to move him, or Toews wanting out, pretty sure they are still in denial despite how detrimental that attitude is going forward for the franchise, and who knows how quick they are going to be come to their senses. We just have the NBC multi view - so we can PIP 4 channels at once and flip over to full screen anytime. Works well.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Not reading through all of this trolling, but.

Content organization via moderator moving posts from one thread to another, when moving other off-topic posting to other threads is not enforced consistently, totally a freedom hater thing, indeed. It's all about your feels, not good moderation, you aren't fooling anyone.Kath wrote:They are all hockey threads. I only edit like 50% of the posts - mostly yours, though.StCapps wrote:Content organization via moderator moving posts from one thread to another, when the rule is not enforced consistently, totally a freedom hater thing, indeed.Kath wrote:They are all hockey threads. The Toronto model is not discredited, but the Toronto model relies too heavily on the Hockey Gods, Auston Matthews divine intervention is the exception not the rule, Buffalo, Edmonton, Arizona, Florida, the league is littered with permanently rebuilding teams, the Boston model is the way to go, and if Toews wasn't on a $10.5 million contract, you'd keep him, but that contract has to be cut in half, and moving him to a place where a) he is a good fit, and b) he'd be willing to go, is the only viable option, and that list is a pretty short list, with the Leafs at the very top.StCapps wrote:The Boston-model, yup, that would suit their situation perfectly, good call. You shouldn't be editing any posts from regular forum members who violated no existing rules you didn't make up out of the blue, so stick to deleting spam, not editing out jokes you find distasteful, or threatening to move off-topic discussions to other threads, or threatening to delete posts that hijack only threads you enjoy. It's pretty simple, you just can't handle an easy job and are lashing out at those rightfully criticizing you because they are pointing out your abuse of your powers.Kath wrote:I only edit like 50% of the posts - mostly yours, though.StCapps wrote:Content organization via moderator moving posts from one thread to another, when the rule is not enforced consistently, totally a freedom hater thing, indeed.Kath wrote: They are all hockey threads. Arguing that you don't abuse your powers as moderator that much is a shitty fucking argument for you being a good moderator, yet you think it is some great argument that proves your point.
