Not disingenuous - that's literally the law they follow. I was just trying to help you separate yourself from a country where abortion is legal. You have choices.

I agree with you, but I think there should be a clear separation so that legislation lobbied for by one group doesn’t effect non-consenting groups of opposing ideology.

Democracy is too inconsistent for my taste.

EDIT: I should clarify. Without a baseline of common values, democracy is inconsistent and destructive. Multiculturalism dilutes that common baseline. You can’t have democracy without a willingness to compromise. As viewpoints have shifted away from traditional values, there can be no compromise between the hedonist and the moralist. Conceding a point on either side of the extremes just allows your enemy to gain ground on you.
