The Sopranos is my second favorite tv show of all time, but in order for that to work I have to pretend it starts at season 2.

Capps: Aside from GoT, what shows are you watching right now? We watch pretty much exactly the same shows, but I might be overlooking some good tv. I think you recommended Bojack to me at one point. What are some other shows that you are enjoying atm?

Shitting on child actors is captain obvious though, they didn't get enough screen time to ruin the season, and when they were on screen with the adults, instead of in their own side plots, they did just fine, Meadow in college did a decent job. Naturally they get better at acting as the series progresses, would be weird if they got worse. The writers sheltered them until they got better, so their subplots in the early going weren't as interesting, but they did serve to make Tony a more sympathetic character quite well, which was their job in Season 1, and they performed that feat quite well, back then the kids characters were all about making Tony more interesting and showing the divide between his two lives with his two families. So they were quite serviceable in my eyes, not as terrible as you portray certainly.heydaralon wrote:Not at all. Many people like that season, I can't stand it for whatever reason. I think the show starts to get good in season 2 and peaks in Season 5 and 6. I think if it had stayed in the same quality of season 1 throughout I would never have liked it in the first place. Meadow and AJ's acting in season 1 is pretty terrible compared to later seasons as well.

I did a couple rewatches of shows I've already seen a lot recently. I just started rewatching The Sopranos again actually, but before that I rewatched Breaking Bad again, as well as Freaks and Geeks, and Stranger Things, the latter two as quick breaks in between the longer shows.heydaralon wrote:Capps: Aside from GoT, what shows are you watching right now? Comedy wise I watched Bojack Horseman and F is For Family not that long ago, but you're already aware of that.
There was the big four drama's that were airing at the same time not that long ago,
Fargo, Better Call Saul, The Leftovers and The Americans.
Can't recommend any of the shows highly enough, check out The Americans, since you never really got into that, it's great. Like Bojack Horseman, it takes until the second season until the show really hits it's stride, but the payoff is worth it if you make the investment and stick it out.
As for other recommendations, I'd have to dig into other shows that I've watched over the years, if there are any shows you heard good or bad things about, ask me anything, if I've seen it I'll give you my opinion, if I haven't I'll tell what I've heard from those who have seen it.

My wife loved it when she watched it last year and I think that actually is what made me take so long to watch it. She usually has awful taste

I usually hate horror, especially 80's horror, because most of it isn't well done, so I was skeptical at first as well, it was quite the unexpected surprise, I didn't go in expecting to be a fan, and it won me over quite thoroughly. To quote the first season of The Sopranos, "a hit is a hit".California wrote:I very much enjoyed Stranger Things. I watched that last week.

That said, I'm worried the show might fall apart in the second season, and it was probably best that they left it at one season, or they moved on to new characters, but I hope I'm wrong.

Another show I'm worried about in the future after a good first season, seems very boom or bust moving forward, both of those shows, keep your fingers crossed folks.heydaralon wrote:New trailer looks very promising.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Can't wait for more Westworld.
