I am not supposed about any of it BUT then again it is a Bond parody and like Bond, it is proudly and unapologetically British and conservative.Hwen Hoshino wrote:https://www.vox.com/culture/2017/9/25/1 ... list-right

Not sure if this really qualifies as a "great" movie. It does have some scary moments, though.

Only a total movie snob would hate Spiderman and Fast and Furious. These are great movies and I dont even have time to explain all the ways you are wrong...Hastur wrote:This list makes me depressed.

Chinese customers are the equivalent of our 50s culture. Just flashy fun, no taste or discernment. It will pass, but it may take a while.Hastur wrote:This list makes me depressed.

Homecoming was a decent movie but I was angry that they didn't even reference Uncle Ben and Raimi's first two films will always (by me) be considered to be the best out of the Spider-Man movies. Also, noticed how 6 out of 10 of those top grossing films are from Disney alone.heydaralon wrote:Only a total movie snob would hate Spiderman and Fast and Furious. I went into Kingsman I prepared to hate it. Saw the trailer was not impressed, but by the time of the last battle I kind of embraced it's kookiness. I hope they recreated it for Kingsman II. Just an entertaining film.Penner wrote:I am not supposed about any of it BUT then again it is a Bond parody and like Bond, it is proudly and unapologetically British and conservative.Hwen Hoshino wrote:https://www.vox.com/culture/2017/9/25/1 ... list-right

Didn't watch a ton of new films in 2017, but IMO, Dunkirk was the best film of the year. Totally different than anything I'd seen in years. Did justice to the story.

I haven't laughed that hard in years.
