Just because they claim to speak for the alt-right, doesn't mean they actually do. They just have inflated ego's and think they are the leaders of the movement and arbiters of the ideology, but they are nothing of the sort. You are easily fooled if you buy their self proclaimed leadership role.Kath wrote:I was just quoting these guys who claim to speak for the alt-right.
Hey, people to the right of the aisle, say something "Nice" about the Left and their policies

You asked for a source on how I came to that conclusion. I gave you a source. It may not represent ALL alt-right, but that's where those kind go to congregate as a voting block. I would not admit to being alt-right in a crowd, unless the crowd was filled with homophobes, xenophobes, misogynists, racists, etc.

Republican voter base has been GROWING since 2008.

Re: Hey, people to the right of the aisle, say something "Nice" about the Left and their policies
No it isn't. It's not even where most of them go to congregate, let alone some large portion of them, you are cherry picking. I didn't ask for how you came to that conclusion, I simply told you why the sources you cited doesn't back up your conclusion. You simply refuse to accept that you could have a faulty conclusion, because you want to write off the alt-right and the more of them you can write off with the wave of a hand the less you have to think about viewpoints that conflict with your own.Kath wrote:You asked for a source on how I came to that conclusion. The media has tarred the alt-right as homophobes, xenophobes, misogynists and racists, by pointing to a small sub-group that claims to be alt-right and makes the entire movement look bad through false association. They did the same with Trump voters and yet you didn't fall for that. Yet you are doing the same thing with alt-right and don't realize it, but it's unfair to paint the alt-right with such broad brush. The witch hunt against the alt-right is unjustified, even if you can't see why.Kath wrote:I would not admit to being alt-right in a crowd, unless the crowd was filled with homophobes, xenophobes, misogynists, racists, etc.

We didn't have a popular vote for the presidency. If we did, the numbers would be totally different, probably still in favor of Trump.

Is Breitbart the fringe? C'mon - you know it's true. Republicans are ashamed to have this crowd in their mix. (They'll take the votes, but they hold their noses while doing it.)

Breitbart isn't fringe, but it is not racist, sexist, xenophobic or homophobic either. Breitbart has been unfairly demonized by the media, same with Steve Bannon, Michael Flynn and the alt-right, and you have fallen for that bullshit too. I thought you were better than that Kath, instead here you are parroting mainstream media talking points that are really easy to see through.Kath wrote:Is Breitbart the fringe?
