@DB, I more agree with you than not re: Trump, so back the fuck off.
Why would he back off when you keep bringing up your worst anti-Trump material? Step your game up and everyone will back off, don't and we'll keep ripping into you.

Says the self-proclaimed Trump whisperer.

Cappy: "When Trump says something smart, it proves he's smart. When Trump says something ridiculously stupid and ill-informed, it proves he's smart."

But, Cappy is balanced wrt Trump. Lol.

Why all the 'Smart' people said it wouldn't be close.
How Trump won the election with less money, less staff and no experience
The 'Smart' people told us the economy was going to immediately crash if Trump was elected
The 'Smart' people laughed at Trump when Trump said he was spied on
Who are the smart people, Carlus? The people at CNN who read the DNC talking points memo and talk about that for 24 hours until the next memo comes out?

Cappy says that the president's striving to keep his base dumb is brilliant strategy. Not sure how that's any different from any other politician. Does that make all previous presidents since Reagan brilliant? Or just the republicans?

I'd say in this case the smart people were able to see that Hillary was an awful candidate and would lose. They see Trump for what he is, chosen by the people as a giant F U to our corrupt system that really wanted to give us Clinton v. Bush in 2016. The smart people understand that Mueller is just a tool of the deep state to counter the will of the people. Smart people understand that the Russia-Trump stuff is bullshit. Smart people understand the FBI, CIA, NSA, DOJ and most all of Washington DC were heavily invested in Hillary winning and maintaining their status quo power over average folks in the US.

Smart people understand that Trump is a flawed person, like every person, but he is his own man. While the press works overtime to cover the flaws of others, they will expose any flaw they can on Trump. Because Trump is his own man, even for all his flaws, he is favorable to just another deep state run POTUS. Everyday he is disrupting a corrupt system and the government is focused on attacking each other they are not attacking us.

Again, good leaders aren't stupid nor do they go out of their way to look stupid.

FDR's fireside chats and Trump's Tweets, same-same.

Kath is basically arguing that FDR's fireside chats hurt him, because she thinks they are stupid. She doesn't like how this new communication technique is being leveraged by a politician she doesn't like, therefore it must be ineffective, and only Trump/FDR nuthuggers would say otherwise.

Get better anti-Trump material Kath, then we'll stop ripping into you. If you ripped into FDR for the same reason, we'd rip into you just as hard. Stop trying to attribute our criticisms of your posts to partisanship.

Please quote me saying the tweets hurt him.

If FDR said stupid shit on his radio chats and I was alive to understand them, yes, I would have called him out on it. Please quote some stupid shit FDR said so I can have a good laugh.

Saying stupid shit that gets you elected, isn't being stupid, not if you're a politician. There is a method to the madness, you just can't see it because you are blinded by hate. You want to believe that saying something that sounds stupid to you, would never provide any political benefit, but you just have too much faith in the electorate and go projecting your own views on them.

Again, all you have to do is quote me saying that I said the tweets would hurt him. Seriously, just one quote.

About a year ago I predicted he would not give up Twitter, that he shouldn't have to and that he would likely be saying some truly moronic things.

I'm here waiting for you to quote me saying I thought the tweets would hurt him.

Intelligent people are more concerned with an attempted Coup by the Deep State to overturn a free and fair election than they are about stupid tweets.
