You can tell the power relationship by who can let themselves go and who maintains their appearance and fitness well into middle age.

If both let themselves go, I suspect the relationship has a better chance of lasting till the end. If the man let's himself go, but the woman does not, the relationship likely favors him because he earns enough money to sustain it. But if he hits a rough patch, economically, there's a good chance his trophy wife will bail, since she still maintained her SMV and the relationship had that power differential for so many years, which does not really foster mutual respect at all.

According to South Korean government sources, the satellites have pictured large Chinese and North Korean ships illegally trading in oil in a part of the West Sea closer to China than South Korea.

That’s where your analysis is wrong. China has considerably more of its population in rural areas than urban. You aren’t goin to nuke the Chinese out of existence. They have more population, and it’s less reliant on cities than ours.
