Except that the coastal liberals are the ones keeping people barely educated... they are teaching them just enough to keep them under control, that's not the education I am talking about.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote:Funny, that is exactly what the coastal, liberal elites think the problem is!The Conservative wrote:Well, I think a more educated population is better, what the problem is that we are dealing with a barely educated population, and that is dangerous.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote:Now, do you mean your Woodwards, your Bernsteins, the like... or do you mean your Hearsts?
Do we really think the change in how investigative journalism unfolds these days is the fault of individual journalists?
Either way, if I've said it once, I've said it a million times: It was a mistake to teach the peasantry to read.

Too much misdirection, misinformation, and narrative pushing in the media. They want to tell "their" story, as if they are writing shows based on true stories.
I still think it's possible to get to the truth, but you have to dig through a lot of crap to get to it. Then you have to determine, mostly on your own, what is true and what is not. I think some people, like a number of posters in this forum, have gotten pretty good at filtering out truth from BS.
If you are convinced that journalists in the MSM are maliciously pushing an ideological narrative, why even concern yourself with whether or not they are running a story?

No arguments there. The press has thrown the "cloak of impartiality" off and has shown they ready and willing to help destroy a government and it's people on the grounds of ideology.clubgop wrote:If the GOP was doing this they wouldn't exist anymore. This media would happily stick the dagger in.

No, he thinks Fox News doesnt know how to spell Toulouse and thinks it is located in the middle east, and the President is someone named Claude Gueant. No, not everyone is as wrong about everything as he is.Speaker to Animals wrote:clubgop wrote:You know that is a parody graphic not a real one? No, probably not.GrumpyCatFace wrote:

The real solution is for the public to stop giving these hacks their profits. I think that is happening, but it's happening way to slowly.

Nah. It's irrelevant and now likely to become even more so.

No, I just posted a funny picture. The real insanity of Faux Noise doesn't really fit into a meme.clubgop wrote:No, he thinks Fox News doesnt know how to spell Toulouse and thinks it is located in the middle east, and the President is someone named Claude Gueant.
