He's just a Bolshevik whose going with the flow, bear in mind; Bolshevik, Communist; not the same thing.

There were three Russian revolutions, populist uprising against the war, Communist uprising against the Romanovs, Bolshevik subjugation of the Mensheviks.

Lots of Bolsheviks in the Soviet Union, not that many Communists, in the Soviet Union, when you wanted to differentiate between a Bolshevik and guy you liked, the guy you liked; "he's a good Communist".

But of course, the Vietnamese had been fighting this war, for a thousand years, against the Chinese, the Japanese, the French, and finally the Americans; usque ad finem, victory or death.

They fought off the Mongols thrice, didn't care if the Mongols captured and sacked Hanoi twice. The Vietnamese have a pretty remarkable record.
