He's a family man, though.
Maybe go with an SUV.

It just seems so tawdry to drop EVO/WRX stacks on a Ford if it's not even a 5.0 or Shelby. I would sooner buy their new fiesta with a six speed and turbo inline four but even at that price point you're still like "why not an evo?"

Re: Jeff Sessions Comfirmation Hearing
Because they don't make Evo's anymore, Evo is done, it's just WRX, Golf R, or Focus RS now, and Focus RS beats the WRX, and Golf R is more expensive.

yeah it was a ford, but the transit. ugly thing. they had an E series next to it, but no price on the windshield. Dad had the E-150 when I was little.TheReal_ND wrote:If you get a gas van I recommend the E250. Mine already has enough miles to have driven to the moon (literally I just looked it up,) and I have zero issues with it. I didn't know fords could do that but I've always heard their 250 series trucks are good.the dealership has a 2014 fifteen passenger van for a ridiculous 23k
Early memory:
"Daddy, where are we going?"
"Wherever the van takes us."
If I was home, I could go rummaging through the old photos and show where the van took us. RIP van.
p.s. When I was four, Dad's buddy came to buy the van, after the tranny went out. His daughter and I ran down to the gully to smooch.
hashtag first kiss.

I don't recommend the 150 series. I had an '01 F150 that gave me hell with trouble codes. It was a six cylinder though and I suspect that's the one group of cylinder numbers that Ford can't wrap its head around because I've owned two, the other being a thunderbird, and they constantly throw codes. But at least that truck had a stick. I feel like a cuck when I don't have a stick.

That's what we're probably getting for Dad. His '96 is closing in on 400k, and is falling apart. I've considered something like a Tacoma or Pathfinder, being smaller and easier for him to get into, but I'm not sure Thomaston is yet ready for a foreign truck.Fife wrote:

Yeah, but mine's getting older by the minute, I don't know if I want to ride it all the way down, and there's no new Evo to trade in for.TheReal_ND wrote:Fuck you :lalalaicanthearyou:Evo is done

I don't know what I'm gonna get for myself in a few years. Gonna be an educated professional. Gotta look the part. I'd like to get a Ghia and put a 911 engine in it. The wife says I get to have ten cars, so I've got room to operate. I sat down in an MKZ today. It doesn't even have a shifter. Just buttons on the console. She was eating dealership popcorn and getting crumbs on my seats. I about had to kick her out of my car.Smitty-48 wrote:$40K? That's not bad; Subaru WRX STi, Ford Focus RS, Chevy Camaro SS, Dodge Challenger Scat, can still get some nice horses at that price point.
