He studied previous civilizations back to the Egyptians and said each culture had about a 1000 year run, he classed them in 4 cycles aligning with seasons. According to him we are deep in Winter.

In the 4th turning is a grand saeculum roughly every 250 years, Age of Discovery, to Age of Democracy, to now.

But anyway, I'm feeling like the next 12-18 months are going to get crazy.
