Well, he doesn't want to raise taxes, doesn't want to allow illegals in, and wants to reign in immigration. They don't... so there isn't a deal as it stands. They need to bend... he's president, they aren't.

The doofus is in power because we hate politicians.
You’d think the media would’ve picked up on that by now and stopped screaming “Trump is a doofus” at the top of their lungs every day.
We know.
He’s a boorish, thin skinned, egotistical, douchebag. That’s why America elected him ... because our only alternative was a lifelong politician.
It’s not that we don’t see how bad Trump is. It’s that the media and the political establishment don’t see how bad they are, and therefore can’t fathom that a raging man-child might be an improvement over four more years of the same shit.

I know that's true for many who voted for him; it's why my mother-in-law voted for him (she doesn't like him at all, just likes Hillary a lot less.)

It's the "Trump is amazing at everything he does," crowd that are annoying as hell.
