Destroy the abomination once and for all time, I judge it to be worth the price, when you're in charge of the nuclear codes, you can do what you want, when I'm in charge of the nuclear codes, I'll be nuking the North Koreans and I won't be asking anybody for permission, CinC means what it says.StCapps wrote:You have not provided a good enough reason to do it though. Re: North Korea News
Nuke North Korea because they are an abomination? Yeah, that's a lame reason to do something, especially something that would gain America fuck all. You'd make a terrible CinC of the US, if those are the kind of calls you are going to make, that's a big waste of military resources that could be better used elsewhere.Smitty-48 wrote:Destroy the abomination once and for all time, I judge it to be worth the price, when you're in charge of the nuclear codes, you can do what you want, when I'm in charge of the nuclear codes, I'll be nuking the North Koreans and I won't be asking anybody for permission, CinC means what it says.StCapps wrote:You have not provided a good enough reason to do it though. Just because you have the power to do something, that doesn't mean you should do it. Nuke North Korea, just because, you've got to be trolling.

When you have the power, you're the decider, when I have the power, I'm the decider, when I'm the decider, I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do. I'm sure there would be some outcry from lolbergs and liberals, but I wouldn't let that dissuade me.StCapps wrote:Go to war with NK because they are an abomination? Re: North Korea News
Why does common sense not dissuade you? Are you that determined to piss off lolbergs and liberals that you would nuke North Korea because that would really get their ire?Smitty-48 wrote:When you have the power, you're the decider, when I have the power, I'm the decider, when I'm the decider, I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do. Because that's a pretty dumb reason to decide to do something like Nuke North Korea, if that's all you got, then why should anyone listen to your advice?
Are there not better ways to piss off liberals and lolbergs that don't involve nuking anyone anyway? Even if that was your objective, your plan is nowhere near the best way to achieve it.

Re: North Korea News
"Common sense" is circular logic, I wouldn't operate by common sense fallacy, I deem the North Korean regime to be both an abomination worthy of anihilation, and an existential threat to a significant portion of the CONUS, and I would not let them achieve two stage fission fusion miniaturized intercontinental hair trigger alert against the CONUS, and if they tried to go there, I would invoke Article 51 and launch a counterforce operation against them.StCapps wrote:Why does common sense not dissuade you? Re: North Korea News
What would that gain America? Still not seeing any upside to your plan, for any side of the equation. Your plan seems to be against American interests, and you're just blowing up nukes to piss of liberals, that's really stupid.Smitty-48 wrote:"Common sense" is circular logic, I wouldn't operate by common sense fallacy, I deem the North Korean regime to be both an abomination worthy of anihilation, and an existential threat to a significant portion of the CONUS, and I would not let them achieve two stage fission fusion miniaturized intercontinental hair trigger alert against the CONUS, and if they tried to go there, I would invoke Article 51 and launch a counterforce operation against them.

It would be my solemn duty to defend and protect the United States of America and while you may say :yawn; as CinC, I would not, it's not a stable paradigm, and North Korean two stage fission-fusion miniaturized intercontinental hair trigger alert would meet the threshold of imminent and existential, and I would interdict to prevent that scenario from coming about, preemptively, in addition, I'd shed no tears for that regime in the process of taking them down.StCapps wrote:What would that gain America? Existential, sure, imminent, my ass.Smitty-48 wrote:It would be my solemn duty to defend and protect the United States of America and while you may say :yawn; as CinC, I would not, it's not a stable paradigm, and North Korean two stage fission-fusion miniaturized intercontinental hair trigger alert would meet the threshold of imminent and existential, and I would interdict to prevent that scenario from coming about, preemptively, in addition, I'd shed no tears for that regime in the process of taking them down.
You don't nuke em, just to make sure they never retaliate to an imaginary attack, that may never happen. Derp. If so then why are not advising America to nuke Russia?

Re: North Korea News
When you're CinC, you get to make those assessments, when I'm CinC, it's my call. You can chirrup on the internet about it, that's your right, but if I'm CinC, I'm not asking your opinion on it.StCapps wrote:Existential, sure, imminent, my ass.Smitty-48 wrote:It would be my solemn duty to defend and protect the United States of America and while you may say :yawn; as CinC, I would not, it's not a stable paradigm, and North Korean two stage fission-fusion miniaturized intercontinental hair trigger alert would meet the threshold of imminent and existential, and I would interdict to prevent that scenario from coming about, preemptively, in addition, I'd shed no tears for that regime in the process of taking them down.

Re: North Korea News
How does "your call" help America to the point that it's worth the price? It doesn't. You are out to hurt America as CinC, therefore no American CinC should take your advise on this matter, all you got is, "they are abomination and i'm the CinC, that's reason enough!".Smitty-48 wrote:When you're CinC, you get to make those assessments, when I'm CinC, it's my call.
