Re: Immigrant Invasion - Echoes of Rome
It's interesting I keep seeing Posse Comitatus mentioned...
The president can order troops under certain circumstances (Little Rock In 1957 where it was deemed the state was not upholding federal law)... So legally the POTUS can order troops to operate in the US.
Troops have often acted/assisted in disaster situations inside the US. The idea of Posse Comitatus was that they shouldn't be used in domestic law enforcement, not that they can't ever be used in like natural disasters, etc.
Only an idiot would think that if we saw military forces in Mexico or Canada, tanks and troops massing on our border, or a fleet of foreign landing craft and warships approaching our coast, that the military couldn't be deployed inside the US in defense of our borders against a foreign incursion. I know we seem to mostly use the military to bomb countries 1/2 way around the planet, but it is called the Department of Defense, which presumably includes defense of our borders.
So, we are putting troops on the border against foreign incursion, aren't we? They are not technically engaging in domestic law enforcement since the caravans of people are not inside the country - by definition that's not domestic enforcement, and really then Posse Comitatus is irrelevant.
And now there's stories of a 3rd caravan forming... armed with weapons. Sounds more and more like an invasion force...?

They are armed incursions. They already have been in firefights with Mexican authorities.

Besides some of the migrants actually getting into the U.S. illegally for their personal authentic/genuine reasons, why else do think some/most want to build this up for some massive collision/confrontation?Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 6:46 pmThey are armed incursions. Because they want to colonize the United States.
You might as well ask why our ancestors all came to what would become the United States to colonize it.

@GoG - didn't mean for this to get this long
The Democrats most effective Trump attack was separating women and children at the border, they were able to have a little success making Trump look mean and uncaring, so they are pushing more of that. We know that the Democrats (Beto) are colluding to provide material support of foreign nationals to cross our border illegally. Pretty serious stuff.
Now from the Honduran and others in the invasion force, there's a wide variety of people in there, wiht a variety of objectives. I've spent a lot of time in Central America, I've been on 2 short tours to Honduras, one on the Mosquito Coast in the 90s, another in and around Comyagua in 2009, with a
brief time in Tegucigapa, the capital. I left about a month before the coup that removed Zelaya(backed by the BHO Administration). Out of Panama, Honduaras, Guatemala and Belize, Honduras is by far the most F'd up. The country is really run by a series of war lords, some are tied into drug cartels.
On any given day, you can run into 'policia' from multiple war lords. It's a very corrupt country, theft and other crime is high. A lot of average folks will steal down there, and from what I saw, they don't really care for their kids in a way that is typical for parents. They are more like a commodity or a tool. The kids will literally leap into an open vehicle door, steal something, hop out and run, all while you are just getting out of the vehicle. Most the people live in extreme poverty. Robbery, Kidnapping and even Murder are pretty common. People will kill you for a bicycle. It's a country that's kind of in a low scale war all the time, we only hear about it when it get's really hot.
The US has been fucking around in Honduras for the last 100 years, we need to recognize that, but it's not like Honduras was going to be a utopia if we'd never touched the place, so let's not get too crazy(Fuck you H. Zinn). Personally I don't know if it's the Mayan ancestory and culture that comes through, but it's a culture that doesn't care too much about their neighbors or people in general, it's a tough place, more dangerous than the Middle East in many regards. So when we consider bringing these people in, and we've already done our part for the world, these are not likely to be people that are really going to benefit American Society in general. We should be very cautious, because we probably have better than a 50% chance of getting a criminal.

Re: Immigrant Invasion - Echoes of Rome
Well, two of my friends are being sent down to man the border, one of them is not army... or national guard.
That being said, these "people" attempting to cross the border have already been given the ability for asylum, citizenship, and jobs in Mexico. They have said no to it... so as far as I can tell, the international community needs to back off of the US for requiring it to give a place for these people to stay, they have already been given that opportunity and pushed it aside.
The people that are attempting to come to the US through these caravans (over 12K now) have no reason to come to the US. If Mexico is willing to help them, and they refuse it, it's not the place of the US to accept them at all.

The international community is pushing the US to violate International law and take these people in.

They are being aided by Democrats, the UN and International agents. It is a coordinated and well funded invasion of the United States by foreigners in violation of International Law. Fucking pisses me off.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Sun Nov 04, 2018 10:31 am30-40 miles per day, huh.Walking about 30 to 40 miles daily, the first group started Saturday about 760 miles away from the Rio Grande.
They are doing it just like they did it in Europe. With the Corporate media performing the psyops propaganda mission.

I have my doubts they are making that pace without transportation.C-Mag wrote: ↑Sun Nov 04, 2018 10:53 amThey are being aided by Democrats, the UN and International agents. I could start a long hike, and slowly work up to that pace over the course of a few days. But that is assuming I am getting the food calories to make the trip. It's also accounting for my having bullet-proofed all the fucked up joints and mobility issues I used to be plagued with over the past two years.
Most people are not going to just get up and walk 40 miles each day for a month.
That wasn't even common in ancient times when people walked everywhere. They'd walk maybe 10-20 miles per day and get lodging in the next one to two towns along a road.
