Think about the murder rates combined with the prevalence of violence in movies in the US. A child today is exposed to shit like Hostel and Saw. That would not have made it past the ratings board in the US in the 60's or 70's. Yet if the numbers are too be believed, previous decades had higher murder rates in our country than the murder rates of today, despite our culture featuring far more violent movies and video games at present. I am not arguing that these rates will never jump back up, or even arguing why I think they dropped, but it seems like if porn turned people gay then video games and movies should cause them to murder more.
