Also bear in mind, in terms of favouring one over the other in the districts, Netflix ain't exactly a big employer, there's only 3,000 permanent employees at Netflix, 200,000 at Disney, so Disney is hardly a net negative, when it comes to jerrbs, so why would congress want to take swings at Disney, just to save Netflix?

Also note...

Taxes paid by Disney; $2.3 billion.

Taxes paid by Netflix; $73 million.

Disney is a cash cow for the government, Netflix is not, why does the government prefer Netflix again?

Just saw Star Wars tonight with my girlfriend and some buddies. I was not impressed. The more I think about it, the more I think I have romanticized the old ones. I don't think they were very good either. I would like to point out, that the spoilers I posted were accurate, but I did not doing any background research on it. I was able to deduce the correct spoilers based on my in-depth understanding of the Star Wars movies and lore. Anyway, do not watch Star Wars unless you want to ruin the rose colored vision of Star Wars you remembered as a kid.

Y'all talked me out of bothering to see it, but if Disney raises their dividend by 16% again this year, I'll just say; cha-ching, thank you, come again, suckah.

Smitty I like you, and I'm glad that at the very least something good was able to come out these Star Wars abortions for you as a shareholder. The rest of us got a sore ass sitting in the theater for 2 hours and a wasted movie ticket.

Yep, DIS is in the revenue stream, not a high yield dividend, but a growth dividend none the less.

A safe long term asset that will help me ease into retirement.

Indeed, a nice mix of low risk diversified steady earner, with buy backs, and dividends.
