...or just wait for the genetic results.
Looks like a gigantic fox, or hyena, to me. My guess is a wolf/dog hybrid.

Yeah, I really don't think it's a Dogman. Just a wolf-dog hybrid and/ or a wild dog.
Also, I have only heard that they exist/been sighted in Michigan and Wisconsin. Still, though sounds like a cool cryptid but I do think that they all just don't exist. Just people either making stuff up or just people talking about legends.

They get reported up and down the Mississippi basin, and also out in the southwest.Penner wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 9:18 amYeah, I really don't think it's a Dogman. Just a wolf-dog hybrid and/ or a wild dog.

Most of the stuff on Dogman Encounters is obviously fakery, but cool stories.
The basic premise, though, is sound from an evolutionary perspective. I think if humans disappeared and all that was left of dogs as well are boxers, then you'd see something similar. Boxers use their front paws like arms, far more so than any other dog breed. They also like to stand up to get a better view and also to to smell scents that are in the air. This would give a canid quite an advantage hunting. The boxers, if left alone, could potentially evolve to walk upright given enough time.
Because dogman otherwise just look like big wolves or wild dogs, it is entirely possible that people see them around and do not realize they are very different unless they happen to stand up and walk on two legs.

It's not though. Look at the shot of the paws.
That's the paw of a canid.
Bear paw is round and all five digits are up at the top.
