I'm going with the old anecdotal evidence excuse here
Here's a New York Times article with evidence to the contrary. Might be fake news, though.

Don't believe things just because a part of the media wants to marginalize Americans in order to support their open border balderdash.

I'm talking about the Mexicans I see working here every day, doing manual labor over 2 or 3 jobs while sharing a place with way too many people per bedroom
Then, when they're off of work, they're fixing their cars and fixing up their houses. They are the hardest workers out of any of the subgroups in America.
And no, sitting in a cubicle for 60 hours a week is not harder than doing landscaping or swinging a hammer for 40

If that's the case, I've personally witnessed an entire group of Mexican "sub-contractors" asleep on a hill-side when they're supposed to be working.
Sure its not their break?

And I'm talking about the legions of blue collar construction workers I've grown up with who can't find work because every contractor wants to hire Guatemalans.

That sucks
I really think that when we go after illegals we need to go after the people who hire them as well

It's a sanctuary city guy, or rather in your case state. Who's going to stop them? Why would they want to? What are you a racist that doesn't support free trade?

If there aren't farmers and contractors to pay them below minimum wage there's no reason to be here.

We need to go after the employers exclusively. I don't harbor any ill will towards people who come here wanting to work hard for their family.
