Re: Coronavirus thread
None of those bench warmers can compete with American comedians.
For crying out loud, we take the edgiest of your lot when we want the dipshits in Hollywood to feel like they're witnessing something cutting-edge - but only in a safe and proper manner of course.
You're second-string players, Britain.
You have been since 1776.

I really like Bill Burr but don't think much of Dave Chapelle, in fact I don't find him funny at all. Neither of them is very well known over here though.DBTrek wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 2:36 pmYes, Monte Python dressing up as women and walking into walls slapstick style is the height of word play and cleverness.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 2:12 amThere we have the difference between British and American humour.
American humour is based around direct insults, often crude, where British humour is based on clever wordplay or self-depricating jokes.
Oh, wait ... no. Your humor actually sucks, and hasn't had any wide appeal for the last 50 years.
Bill Burr and Dave Chapelle still killing it tho.
Globally.
You kind of make my point, the differences in styles of humour mean that not many stand-ups from either side of the pond successfully cross over.
Aussie comics do better over here than Americans. Jim Jefferies is one of my all-time favourites.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

No need to get all butt hurt about it. I was just pointing out the differences.DBTrek wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 3:39 pmNone of those bench warmers can compete with American comedians.

Jeez, sensitive or what.

I named the ones that I wanted to. if we don’t know them, there’s a reason for that.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 3:31 pmI'm guessing that you don't actually know that many British comedians.
Jimmy Carr, Frankie Boyle, Al Murray, Lee Mack, Ricky Gervais, Stephen Fry, David Mitchell and Hugh Dennis are a few of my favourites.
I bet most of you only know a couple of people from that list.

Feels a bit like we're going around in circles here.
I'm going to go back to the virtual Bungay Balls Up if you're all going to be grumpy and over-sensitive about it.
In the meantime, try a bit of Jimmy Carr doing insult jokes and heckler put-downs. Might be more in line with American tastes.

Re: Coronavirus thread
Love it, hate it, I don't care, but I have been researching COVID-19 to the level that I can only come to the conclusion that not only is this entire pandemic produced on false information, but has been continued allowing that data to cause fear and in turn has destroyed not only our economy but has put our some of our citizens at higher risk of dying.
This is not what we should be doing, and if anything, we should smartly be dealing with this pandemic like we have all others.

I have researched COVID-19 to the level that I discredit and reject all other research.
My findings clearly indicate that only those sending $100 to my PayPal account are guaranteed safety.

Unlike you and of all other ”professional fearmongers” I actually linked my claims to data and actual research and other claims so that the points I made can't be straight out said as false. Because in many cases I use other people’s words against them.
Including the state’s.

Jim Jefferies has been exposed as 100% hack bitch so no surprise you suck his dick so much. Besides he is now a US citizen so he is ours now.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 3:51 pmI really like Bill Burr but don't think much of Dave Chapelle, in fact I don't find him funny at all. Jefferies 1st special was pretty funny but everything since TDS and that video that exposed him selectively editing the video interview is so hack.
