They were lying before there was time enough for anyone to know there had been any failures.
Their opening move was to lie.
All that's left to come out now is that they were being briefed on the tips coming in about the shooter every morning for the past six months.
Democrat hacks like you running to their defense in your not so subtle, "yeah, they made the same mistakes that kids make," isn't going unnoticed, though.

We're saying the same thing, yet you still want to twist it into an insult. Quite telling.Okeefenokee wrote:They were lying before there was time enough for anyone to know there had been any failures.

Re: Another School Shooting
I compared the government and police to children. Somehow, this is 'defending' them.

Exactly, you're comparing the organized manipulation of the criminal justice system by the democratic party to increase their funding by not enforcing laws
to children.
On one side you have a multi billion dollar political party pulling the levers of government in a way that ensures police do nothing when the law is broken, because doing so gets them federal funding from a program that was enacted by a president from their own party, and it resulted in seventeen kids dead.
On the other side you have kids. Just kids, being kids. Nothing sinister about a kid being a kid, right?
That's why you continue to frame this entire debacle as just some little screw up like a kid shutting his finger in a door. Nothing to see here. Move along.

This isn't going to help the gun supporters arguments for arming teachers.

It's been your entire position since the minute your gun control position became untenable.
Just your typical ol' run of the mill foul up. Police acting like kids. Whatareyagonna do?

I call bullshit.Dennis Alexander, who is Seaside City's mayor pro tem and a reserve officer with the Sand City Police Department, was teaching a lesson at Seaside High School in Seaside, California when he pointed his gun into the ceiling and accidentally fired it, said Abdul Pridgen, the city's police chief.
A 17-year-old student was injured by a bullet fragment or by debris that fell off the ceiling, Pridgen said.
The student's injuries appeared superficial and were not life threatening, police said.
Alexander has been placed on administrative leave from his teaching job, a spokesperson with the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District said.
