Yeah, that broke over the weekend. Apparently it's being reported that the two were fighting over property lines and/or politics. So, Rand Paul's neighbor assaulted him on late Friday.
Many of the details surrounding the assault on Paul are still murky, but according to several reports, a property dispute might have prompted the neighbor to rush the senator.

What is clear is that Paul’s injuries could keep him away from Washington for a significant amount of time, depriving Senate Republicans, who hold a razor-thin majority, of his critical vote.

Paul was mowing his lawn when a neighbor tackled him
Paul had reportedly just finished mowing his lawn at his home in his upscale gated community in Bowling Green, Kentucky, when the suspect — 59-year-old Rene Boucher — tackled Paul from behind, “forcing him to the ground and causing pain,” reports NBC News, which obtained the criminal complaint. Paul was still wearing his protective earmuffs, two sources told the New York Times, which prevented him from hearing Boucher’s approach. NBC News reports that Paul managed to get Boucher off of him, after that the two “exchanged words.”
Jonathan Martin of the New York Times has reported that this “trivial” issue might have something to do with some mysterious plant-related problems -- though sources gave multiple landscape-based reasons that ranged from a new sapling to yard clippings to unraked leaves. NBC News added a wild card: An issue over the property line of a creek behind Paul’s house where his sons used to play.

An unnamed neighbor also told CNN that these lawn-based tensions had been long-simmering, though a friend of Paul’s said the senator told him he hadn’t spoken to Boucher in years.

Can you imagine if someone wrote an article justifying someone punching Al Franken in the face?

Haha, what if Fauxcahontas had five busted ribs and bruised lungs this evening as a result of an opposing-party white female blind-siding-sucker-punching her in her yard?

Can you even imagine what would be getting broadcasted at this very moment?

Galespy lost? Not really a big deal. This is the first special election that the GOP lost this year. They are like 4 for 1 or something. Don't get blackpilled, Virginia was already blue. Also, Galespy wasn't that good anyway. He's been a GOP cuck for 30 years and is pro DACA

I should add I'm curious what the split was because apparently polls are becoming accurate now. He was 0-3% projected to lose this afternoon which is a toss of the coin. Also, I was hearing from VA guys that they are just hedging their bets and voting down stream because the governor doesn't control that much anyway. Basically the one and only thing that made him a good pick was that he would not cuck on the removal of Confederate war memorials.

Oh and he's pro gun of course.
