I don't foresee an orderly progression like that

the closest American analogy is Prohibition

so I would expect ever more chaos and disorder, but not orchestrated by any particular central authority

criminalization does not actually lead to compliance

instead everything just goes underground and does whatever the fucks it wants when it gets there

Modern Socialism doesn't give jack shit to the poor. They give the appearance of giving things to the poor, while giving them nothing. At least with the Fascist, he's not being disingenuous about it, and the economy will be better.
