Here's a view of the Never Trumpers via Washington Post
The GOP’s thoroughly silly ‘secret society’ FBI conspiracy theory
Peter Strzok's text messages have given President Trump's most ardent defenders a strand of twine to which they can hitch their conspiracy theory wagon. Before, it was Strzok's reference to an “insurance policy” if Trump were to win; now, it's a reference to a “secret society” after Trump's win.
The Senate is getting after it.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Grassley sends letters to DNC, HIllary for America, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Donna Brazile, John Podesta and Joel Benenson seeking docs re: Christopher Steele
And it works. Obviously the La-la-land approach works for the Drumpf loyalists.
What's interesting is that Drumpf did back down from firing Mueller.
Let's see how Drumpf does under oath with Mueller.
I have a feeling that Trump will just either claim that he never agreed to talk with Mueller or be honest and say that he changed his mind.
As with Trump's testimony, it probably be like Bannon's' and a few others with either Trump not talking or saying that he doesn't remember anything. Overall, I can see Trump making things worse for himself and for others.

Are you familiar with the context of the conversation Trump May have suggested firing Muller or are you basing your opinion on the reporting done by journalist who clearly have a dog in this fight? Not just because they are Liberals but because if the narrative they have promoted is proven false their entire profession will fall off a cliff.
The MSM is literally dangling on the edge by a pinkie called Russia-gate. You remove that pinkie finger and off the edge they go in to the fires of Mount Doom

And what happens then, exactly? They go off the air? Does a Great Awakening occur in our media?
No. It gets more hyperbolic and insane. These people only know how to double down.

People stop listening. People stop watching. Advertisers pull out. They get sold for scrap.

I'm surprised at the still-growing popularity of podcast and Youtube political commentators, there is a clamor for content and I think the supply still hasn't met the demand. I would guess that this rise in popularity has something to do with the decline in relevance of the corporate media
