If this is the direction we are headed, Gen Z is fucked. They will literally be China's bitches, and they will be the ones who let it happen. Countries like Russia and China, heck even ones like Japan must be laughing at how we are now giving more praise to someone who quit than anyone else on team USA.
I would not be surprised if this was calculated. She could have bowed out long before the Olympics started and given someone else a chance. Instead, she took a spot on the team only to quit once she got there. Now there will show and book offers flooding in for her "courageous" story.
