Because technology improves over time.....there have been many well documented advancements in ion-bat technology since the first hybrid cars hit the market....also, car companies had to test the market.....You want to make a decent argument that Corp Amerika uses its weight to push bad policies, then look to the highway system.....we spent billions on highways while other countries invested in trains.....should have gone trains....but they dont use as much gas as 200,000,000 cars....
