Where did I mention disarming? I never did. Take your maniacal ranting and stuff it for a moment so you can at least comprehend what it was I wrote.
There is a lot of ground between yee-haw gun free-for-all and disarming. Stop screaming at everyone who isn't in the free-for-all camp like they mean to take away every gun, down to the last BB.

You do if you're in a militia, oh, look, 2nd Amendment; "right to bear arms in a well regulated militia". Hunh, well there you go, glad we settled that.

Oh, I'm sorry. We're you planning to allow us to keep BB guns? So magnanimous of you. Especially for a guy who opened his statement with a full confession that he realizes none of the restrictions he's ready to pass on law abiding citizens will affect murderous criminals in the least.
Rational discussion folks, there it is. "I can't stop the mass shootings, but I can take your shit away . . . but hey, I didn't say I'd take the BB guns away, right? So relax".

Are we passing laws to save lives or aren't we?
If we are, then why would you shrug off the #1 killer of Americans so casually?
I mean . .. this is all about saving lives, right?
Right?
Technically, no. It's about keeping people from taking other people's lives. If you want to slowly kill yourself via cheeseburger, have at it.

Fast food doesn't cook itself.
If you're shovelling down double cheeseburgers at a Godzilla-like rate they were cooked by somebody else.
Stop the murder of Americans via fast food.
No access to fries without a proper government permit.
In fact, some foods don't need to exist at all, right?
There's no reason any American needs access to NACHO CHEESE DORITOS® LOCOS TACOS SUPREME®
Looks like the border wall is pointless. If criminals will just avoid guns laws, therefore making guns laws useless, then the same can be said for a border wall.
I understand the statement being made with that image, but I'm not buying it anymore. Las Vegas was my awakening. I've never cared about guns laws one way or other, but it's time things change. Sure, criminals will find ways around the laws, just like finding a way past a border wall. That doesn't stop us from coming up with laws and ways to enforce those laws.
I've been consistently conservative on most issues in recent years, but this is one where I am done siding with people who want dozens of non-hunting, non-self defense weapons just because they want to own them and shoot them for fun.
This is the most compelling case to make for the 2nd Amendment:
An armed populous is harder to control than an unarmed populous.
It doesn't mean we are going take to the streets and wage a war. Highest body count obviously does not ensure victory...
Arms in the hands of individuals mean no less than "Give me freedom, or give me death!"
No less than that very idea is what is at stake here good lads. This nation isn't about community. The law of this land must be applied equally, to each individual, in all courtrooms or we are not a Nation of Laws. And this we must ensure by the cost of our lives.
If any one person should feel justice is not being afforded, he should be obliged to halt such actions at the price of death.
I will not make it easy for you to come in the night to take away my children to fight on foereign lands, in wars I have no interest in.
Some may say that the pen is mightier than the sword...Well, the gun is louder than the pen!

Not even close to what I'm saying . You're not even trying to comprehend what's being written. Just take a few words from my statements and turn them into whatever the f*ck you feel like.

AR-15 is a self-defense weapon. So is every other gun out there, the point is that guns for civilians are for show and protection, to use it any other way, well you deserve what you get...
Just because you are getting browbeaten by your FB friends, so? You have a flood of whiny, bitch people that hide behind a screen that decides to beat you senseless because they can. Get a pair to use, or give me your fucking man card...

You guys just love projecting, don't you? "You caved because of Stephen Colbert and your FB friends". Don;t watch Colbert. Don't use FB.
This proved to be pointless. Thank you Smitty for being informative. The rest of you go into 'roid rage at the very mention of even discussing what could be done to prevent or limit attacks like the one in Las Vegas.
