Its possible, but I remember for all eight years of the Obama administration people said that the Republican party was dead and that only old white men would vote R. After Kerry lost on 04 people questioned the Democratic party's future. In fact after every election people say x party is dead. The people who think that the Democrats are dead because they only appeal to SJWs are like the SJWs who say the Republican party is dead because they only appeal to cis white males. Anything is possible, and personally I dont see Dems taking the white house for the foreseeable future, but these triumphant people are in for a rude awakening. There are still tens of millions of democrats.

If you look at those demographic electoral maps, the democratic party is just a party of the big cities.



You can also see why they want more hispanic immigrants in the blue regions of the Southwest and Texas outside of the cities, and why they are desperate to maintain their stranglehold on the black vote because of the black crescent that cuts across the South. Those are their only real footholds outside of cities.

Keep in mind though, the cities have huge proportions of the population. They might not win the electoral college, but they have huge pull.
